About the Journal

The Journal of Medicine, Humanity and Media (JMHM)

Description

The Journal of Medicine, Humanity, and Media (JMHM) is a pioneering interdisciplinary publication that fosters the convergence of medical science, humanities, and media studies. We aim to shape and influence the discourse surrounding health, medicine, and media by providing a unique platform that encourages a dialogue between these seemingly disparate but increasingly interconnected fields.

JMHM is committed to publishing double-peer-reviewed original research, comprehensive review articles, commentaries, and thought-provoking essays that enhance our understanding of health and illness narratives, patient experiences, and the societal implications of medical technology and media. We routinely screen article submission for plagiarism.

Open Access Policy (CC BY-NC-ND)

Our open access policy allows for unrestricted access to and dissemination of published articles, ensuring the widest possible reach and impact. To be more exact, this Open Access Policy (CC BY-NC-ND) license enables reusers to copy and distribute the material in any medium or format in unadapted form only, for noncommercial purposes only, and only so long as attribution is given to the creator.

Focus and Scope

Our focus is on fostering interdisciplinary research that intersects medicine, humanities, and media studies. We aim to highlight research that explores the impact of media on health perceptions, patient experiences, healthcare policy, medical ethics, and the public understanding of medicine.
